Dr Lawrie Bott


Chief Medical Officer, Sonic Pathology Australia

Dr Lawrie Bott became the inaugural Chief Medical Officer of Sonic Pathology Australia in 2017. Dr Bott trained as a general pathologist and became the Chief Executive Officer of Southern.IML Pathology in 2000, a role that he still holds. In that position, he covers both managerial and clinical roles. Dr Bott was previously a partner and pathologist at Barratt & Smith Pathology, becoming the organisation's Chief Executive Officer in 1995 until 2000.  

Over the last 20 years, Dr Bott has served on many committees for the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and is the current Vice-President. He is also a recipient of the RCPA Meritorious Service Award.
